What Air-Con Gas Do I Need?
How to identify the correct air-conditioning or automotive refrigerant without guessing.
Start with the equipment label or documentation
The safest starting point is the manufacturer's label, service information or technical documentation. The specified refrigerant is normally identified by a designation such as R32, R410A, R134a or R1234yf.
What aircon gas is in my car?
Vehicle refrigerant information may appear under the bonnet, in service documentation or through manufacturer specifications. R134a and R1234yf are common automotive refrigerants, but the correct gas depends on the vehicle.
Do not guess or substitute
Using an incorrect refrigerant can create compatibility, performance, safety and regulatory problems. If the required refrigerant is unclear, confirm it before buying.
